We will publish something wrong at some point. When we do, our corrections policy is that the correction goes on the article itself, dated, not into a quiet edit nobody sees.
How to report an error
Email corrections@headcountjournal.com with the URL, the passage and what is wrong with it. Evidence helps us move quickly. We aim to reply within two working days.
How we deal with it
- A factual error gets a correction in the article, and a dated note at the foot records what changed.
- Typos and formatting that leave the meaning untouched get a silent fix.
- An error that changed the conclusion gets its note at the top of the article.
- Unpublishing is a last resort. Correcting keeps the record intact; deleting quietly does not. Legal or safety reasons only.
What this corrections policy will not do
We do not dilute or withdraw accurate reporting because an employer, a vendor or their agency asked us to, and editorial coverage is not purchasable. That is not on offer here.
